The Ibn Tofail University Faculty of Sciences in Kenitra will host the first International Conference on Applied Sciences and Innovation (ICASIN’2025) from November 27 to 29, 2025. The event is organized by the Moroccan Association for Research in Applied Sciences and Innovation in partnership with the Laboratory of Materials and Subatomic Physics at the Faculty of Sciences and the Laboratory of Economics and Public Policies at the Faculty of Economics and Management.

The conference, held under the theme “Building the Future: Leadership in Health, Water, Energy, and Environmental Sustainability,” represents a pioneering scientific event that brings together a distinguished group of researchers and experts from America, Japan, Norway, South Korea, France, Belgium, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, and Morocco, alongside participants from over forty countries worldwide. This reflects the international dimension and rich cultural and scientific diversity of the event.

Preceding the conference, there will be three days of theoretical and practical lessons from November 24 to 26, supervised by Professor Tatsuhiko Sato from the Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA). More than 60 students will benefit from advanced training on the PHITS program, a multipurpose Monte Carlo simulation tool for particle transport, with applications in nuclear simulation and nuclear medical physics. This marks the first course of its kind in Africa and presents a unique opportunity for Moroccan students and researchers to acquire high-level scientific and technical skills.

The conference aims to discuss the latest innovations and practical applications in the fields of health, water, energy, and environmental sustainability, showcasing modern technologies that contribute to addressing global environmental and health challenges. It also seeks to enhance international cooperation among researchers, academic institutions, and industries while exploring innovative solutions that align with current societal and economic transformations.

The organizing committee has extended an invitation to national and international media to cover the conference activities, highlighting the distinguished scientific contributions that this leading event in Africa will witness.
