The third edition of the National Industry Day was launched today in Rabat, organized under the esteemed patronage of King Mohammed VI, under the slogan “Made in Morocco”.

In his speech at the event, Minister of Industry and Trade Ryad Mezour stated that Morocco is entering a new industrial phase, the hallmark of which is industrial sovereignty, aligning with royal directives aimed at enhancing self-sufficiency and supporting national production.

Mezour explained that this dynamic aims to increase local added value, enhance the quality of Moroccan products, and encourage industrial integration, adding, “We aspire to make Moroccan quality a recognized standard within the national market, both in public and private orders, before expanding further into international markets.”

The minister noted that the Kingdom has launched major structural projects, particularly in the pharmaceutical sector, by localizing the production of active ingredients, which enhances the country’s strategic independence in this vital area.

He also announced the launch of a new industrial system dedicated to the production of equipment and machinery, which is a crucial step towards developing national capacities in a strategic sector that contributes to modernizing Morocco’s production structure.

Regarding innovation, Mezour emphasized that the second generation of industrial innovation programs is witnessing increasing demand, with 187 projects supported by state funding, reflecting the dynamic creativity and efficiency of Morocco’s industrial fabric.

The minister also revealed the expansion of innovation support programs to include the video game sector, describing it as “a promising global market and a strategic opportunity for Morocco,” given its potential to create added value and attract young talent.

Through these initiatives, Morocco continues to establish itself as an industrial destination capable of combining competitiveness, innovation, and sustainability, placing the slogan “Made in Morocco” at the heart of its vision for integrated industrial and regional development.
