Two Minors Arrested for Drug Possession in Sidi Bennour
The school security unit of the regional police in Sidi Bennour has apprehended two minor students studying at a local middle school after they were caught in possession of a quantity of hashish within the vicinity of the educational institution.
According to security sources, a routine surveillance operation conducted by school security officers revealed that the two students had approximately 25 grams of hashish. They were immediately taken to the regional police headquarters to file an official report on the incident.
After completing the initial procedures, the case was referred to the judicial police for further investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office. Meanwhile, investigations are ongoing to identify the individuals who may have supplied the minors with the illicit substance.
This operation falls within the continuous efforts made by security services to protect school environments from various forms of delinquency and to combat drug trafficking networks targeting students. It aims to enhance security presence in educational institutions and their surroundings, as well as to activate vigilance and preventive measures.
