Consultative Workshops to Identify Development Priorities in the Province of Kelaa Sraghna Under the Supervision of the Provincial Governor Mr. Samir El Yzidi
On the morning of Monday, November 17, 2025, the headquarters of the Kelaa Sraghna provincial administration witnessed the launching of consultative workshops focused on integrated local development programs. This initiative aims to establish a unified vision for local development through a participatory approach. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Samir El Yzidi, the provincial governor, accompanied by Mr. Mohamed Al Habib, the secretary general of the province, along with local elected officials, local authorities, representatives of public institutions, and civil society actors.
These workshops come in response to the royal directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI outlined in the Throne Day speech (July 29) and the royal address at the opening of the legislative year. They served as an opportunity to present a range of ideas and proposals aimed at creating an integrated development vision capable of adapting to the economic and social transformations taking place in the province.
During this consultative meeting, participants emphasized the need to enhance collective engagement among various stakeholders in local affairs to draft realistic projects that meet the priorities of the population, particularly in the areas of employment, improving public services, supporting infrastructure, and increasing the province’s attractiveness for investment.
Additionally, speakers highlighted the importance of adopting innovative approaches in planning developmental projects and implementing programs that could have a measurable economic and social impact, stressing the role of elected institutions and regional authorities in ensuring coordinated efforts directed toward achieving measurable results.
The meeting saw significant attendance from various local and associative stakeholders, who viewed these workshops as a crucial step toward preparing a shared vision for development, based on consultation and the exchange of ideas, while also considering the needs of citizens and emphasizing the necessity to accelerate project implementation and value local resources.
These workshops are expected to continue in the coming days through thematic working groups that will formulate practical conclusions in preparation for a comprehensive development program reflecting the aspirations of the province and guiding public policy directions.
