Mohammed Mahdi Bensaid, the Minister of Youth, Culture, and Communication, presided over the inauguration ceremony of Mr. Mohammed Alami Oudan as the new governor of the Zagora region on Saturday. This appointment was made by King Mohammed VI.
After the decree of appointment was read, the minister congratulated the new governor on the royal trust he has received, highlighting Oudan’s competencies and his distinguished role in various responsibilities throughout his professional career.
Bensaid emphasized the strategic objectives laid out by King Mohammed VI in his royal speeches on the occasion of the Throne Day in 2025 and the opening of the current legislative session. These objectives focus on accelerating sustainable development and launching new territorial development programs while ensuring social and spatial justice and enabling all citizens to have equal opportunities.
The minister clarified that the task involves a tangible transformation in attitudes and working methods, promoting a results-oriented culture, relying on accurate field data, and utilizing digital tools to ensure quick and effective implementation of developmental programs. This is aimed at achieving a balance between urban and rural areas in the region.
