Aziz Akhannouch, President of the National Rally of Independents, announced during his speech at the eighth station of the “Path of Achievements” tour in Rabat that the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region is a strong representation of advanced Morocco and a gateway to the transformations taking place in the country. He affirmed that this region is poised for significant changes to become a recognized industrial hub, particularly in the fields of food production, automotive manufacturing, and textiles.

Speaking to an audience of 3,000, he noted that these sectors are rapidly advancing through the development and expansion of industrial zones. He highlighted the expansion of the Kenitra Industrial Acceleration Zone, the growth of the Ain Jawhara industrial area, and the launch of the Bouknadel industrial zone encompassing 32 hectares, in addition to the creation of an industrial acceleration zone in Skhirat.

The Head of Government pointed out that these areas now attract investors from both within Morocco and abroad, emphasizing that industrial projects in the region bring real job opportunities for Moroccans.

He revealed agreements signed with Chinese companies to establish a large battery manufacturing plant, which is expected to create 17,000 jobs in Kenitra. He also announced the establishment of a textiles company that will contribute to the development of an industrial area for textiles and clothing, generating 7,000 direct jobs, including 5,000 in Skhirat.

Akhannouch stressed the importance of supporting very small, small, and medium enterprises to ensure job opportunities in smaller cities, asserting that job availability should not be confined to major urban centers.
