Aziz Akhannouch, the leader of the National Rally of Independents party, affirmed that the government will continue its efforts to build a rising Morocco, urging citizens to trust the governmental team he leads in achieving a strong and just Morocco, as envisioned by King Mohammed VI. This statement came during the regional meeting “Path of Achievements,” held on Saturday in Mdiouna, where he emphasized that the journey toward a transformative Morocco is long and requires patience, faith, and trust.
Regarding economic and social reforms, Akhannouch pointed out that the government is starting to see the tangible effects of its programs, creating new job opportunities for youth and stimulating the economy despite the drought that has impacted agriculture. He stated that the measures taken have contributed to a decrease in unemployment rates, even as job losses in the agricultural sector continue due to the prolonged drought.
On the education and health sectors, the party leader highlighted major reforms implemented by the government, recalling the King’s inauguration of new health centers in Rabat and Agadir, and the launch of health projects in the Casablanca-Settat region. He underscored that health is a top priority for the government, asserting that change must show quick results as it directly relates to citizens’ dignity, stating, “There is no dignity without health, and we will work day and night to achieve what citizens deserve.”
Akhannouch also praised the results achieved in improving the quality of life, noting the wage increases benefiting over four million citizens and housing programs that have helped families transition from inadequate living conditions to suitable homes. He affirmed that the government is not employing stopgap policies but is dedicated to building a better future for generations to come, committed to educational and health projects and historic budget increases in these areas within the new finance law.
In concluding his remarks, Akhannouch reiterated his party’s commitment to continuing reforms under King Mohammed VI’s leadership, calling on his party’s elected representatives in local councils to honor their commitments and realize the new vision of a Morocco of dignity and justice, which guarantees equal opportunities for all and reflects the responsibility of citizens who have placed their trust in the government team.
