Authorities in Kenitra have uncovered a dangerous criminal network specializing in the production and distribution of pornographic films and the exploitation of sex clients, following a complaint filed by a woman regarding unauthorized access to her bank account.
The scandal came to light when a woman in Kenitra filed a complaint and handed over her phone to the judicial police for technical examination regarding a large sum of money transferred from her account without her knowledge. During the investigation, officers found numerous pornographic materials and sexual recordings featuring individuals wearing masks to conceal their identities, mostly from the LGBTQ+ community.
Investigations revealed that the woman was the main suspect, offering sexual services online and producing pornographic films for global websites in exchange for financial compensation, in collaboration with four other individuals who assisted her in filming and production inside an apartment in downtown Kenitra.
As a result of the operation, three individuals were arrested, including the main suspect, another woman, and a young man, while the search continues to apprehend other accomplices. The public prosecutor has charged the detainees with offenses including public indecency, operating a brothel, incitement to prostitution, and other related charges.
Sources indicate that investigations are ongoing, and more individuals may be implicated within the same network. The detained suspects, including the main defendant, have been placed in local prison pending preliminary detention, with the case deferred while awaiting the final technical examination results from the National Security Central Laboratory.
This is not the first case of its kind in Kenitra; last summer, authorities dismantled a similar network, arresting several suspects, including two women, after seizing over 300 sexual videos filmed inside an apartment in the city and distributed through global online platforms for profit. Investigations at that time confirmed that the network employed similar production and distribution methods, reflecting a rise in online sexual content trafficking crimes in the region, suggesting that this new network may be an extension or related to other individuals active in the same field.
