The government council is set to convene next Thursday under the leadership of Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch, according to a statement from the government office.

The statement noted that the council will begin its proceedings by discussing a draft law concerning the organization of the notary profession, as part of ongoing efforts to modernize the legal framework governing this profession and enhance its governance.

The agenda will continue with the examination of two draft decrees: the first pertains to the establishment and management of marine aquaculture farms, while the second addresses the amendment of the decree related to the application of value-added tax as stipulated in the third section of the General Tax Code, in the context of aligning regulatory texts with recent tax developments.

Additionally, the council will study a military cooperation agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco and the Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, signed in Rabat on June 17, 2025, along with a draft law to approve this international agreement.
