Yasser Zabiri thanks His Majesty the King after winning the U-20 World Cup

After the Moroccan national team under 20 years old claimed the World Cup title, Yasser Zabiri, the team’s forward, expressed his gratitude for the continuous support from His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

In a press statement following the match, Zabiri said, “I am very happy with this achievement, and I thank His Majesty the King for his constant encouragement. I also thank Fawzi Lekjaa, president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, for his presence in Chile, which was a significant motivation for us.”

Zabiri added, “From the beginning, I said that we do not fear any team, and our confidence was high throughout the tournament.”

The player was awarded the silver medal as the second-best player in the tournament, making him one of the standout stars of this historic achievement for the young team.
