Youth from Errachidia Announce Withdrawal from “Generation Z” Movement, Accusing It of Deviating from Its Path

A number of young men and women from the Errachidia region announced their final withdrawal from the so-called “Generation Z” movement, known for its activities on social media platforms, particularly Discord, on Thursday, October 23, 2025. They believe that the movement has “deviated from its original goals” and has “turned into a battleground for ideological conflict led by radical leftist currents.”

In a statement published on social media, the withdrawing members stated that they had “experienced expulsion and oppression within digital discussion spaces under false and racist pretenses,” pointing out that “the entities that have dominated the movement are directing it towards stances that undermine national institutions, having once raised social slogans related to health and education.”

The statement added that the youth of Errachidia, who identify as part of the Amazigh stream committed to “smooth reform and stability without violence or sabotage,” decided to withdraw from “Generation Z” because it “is heading into the unknown and wasting the energy of youth seeking real change.”

The signatories called on the remaining members of the movement in the region to “act with awareness and responsibility” and “not to be swept along by calls of unknown origin,” emphasizing that “democratic participation remains the most effective means to achieve legitimate demands.”

This stance comes following a series of withdrawals from the movement in recent weeks, beginning with the Amazigh youth, followed by groups from Oujda and Nador, and culminating in the withdrawal of youth from the Kenitra region, reflecting an internal fracture threatening the cohesion of “Generation Z.”
