Tropical Storm “Priscilla” Threatens Mexican Coasts with Heavy Rain and Strong Winds
The National Hurricane Center in Miami has announced the formation of tropical storm “Priscilla” over the Pacific waters, heading towards the southwestern coasts of Mexico. Warnings are in place for severe weather conditions, including heavy rainfall and strong winds that could lead to local flooding.
According to the center’s statement, the winds associated with the storm have reached speeds of approximately 75 kilometers per hour, with its center located about 460 kilometers southwest of Manzanillo and moving northwest at a speed of approximately 11 kilometers per hour.
The agency expects coastal areas to experience rough seas and heavy rainfall, accompanied by strong winds, increasing the likelihood of floods and landslides in some low-lying regions.
Mexican authorities have urged residents in coastal states to exercise caution and follow official directives while continuously monitoring weather updates, as the storm has the potential to develop into a stronger tropical system in the coming days.
