Diego Placente, the coach of the Argentine national team, acknowledged the difficult start for his team in the final match against Morocco, pointing to the influence of tension and pressure associated with major tournaments.
Placente explained, “Things became complicated at the beginning due to the nerves of the final. We made mistakes and conceded an early goal, then the opponent fell back and waited, making it hard for us to find space.”
He added, “We will talk to the players; they have achieved great success by reaching the final, and we should congratulate them on their performance.”
His remarks came after Argentina’s 2-0 loss to Morocco, allowing the Moroccan team to win the Under-20 World Cup for the first time in its history.
