These are the Moroccan stadiums authorized by CAF… 12 stadiums place Morocco at the forefront of Africa!
In a further affirmation of the tremendous development taking place in the sports infrastructure of the Kingdom of Morocco, Morocco has solidified its position at the top of the African football scene. This follows the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Licensing Committee revealing its final list of Moroccan stadiums approved to host matches in the group stage for the 2025-2026 season.
The committee granted the green light for the approval of 12 Moroccan stadiums all at once, a record figure that reflects Morocco’s readiness to host major continental and global events, confirming Morocco’s ongoing leadership in developing sports facilities.
This official announcement came after the conclusion of the preliminary rounds of the African competitions, placing Morocco at the top of the rankings with a comfortable lead over other countries. The approved stadiums span various Moroccan cities, showcasing a balanced geographical distribution and high-quality facilities.
In the economic capital, Casablanca, the Mohammed V Stadium and the Arabi Zaouli Stadium were approved, while in Rabat, three stadiums received their authorization: the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex, the Olympic Stadium, and the Moulay Hassan Stadium.
The list also included the Grand Stadium in Marrakech and the Adrar Stadium in Agadir, both among the newest and most beautiful stadiums on the African continent, along with the Grand Stadium in Fez, the Municipal Stadium in Berkane, the Honorary Stadium in Oujda, the Abdi Stadium in El Jadida, and the Grand Stadium in Al Hoceima.
When comparing this figure with other African football powers, Morocco’s superiority becomes evident. South Africa ranked second with 10 approved stadiums, followed by Algeria with nine, while CAF only recognized five stadiums in Egypt and one in Tunisia, the Hamadi Agrebi Stadium in Rades, raising questions about the readiness of those countries compared to Morocco.
This achievement confirms that the Moroccan stadiums approved by CAF are now a model to be emulated on the continental level, reflecting the royal vision that has made the development of sports and infrastructure one of the pillars of modern Moroccan revival.
