The Prime Minister Reviews with the Head of the Integrity Commission the Prospects for Activating the National Strategy to Combat Corruption

On Tuesday, October 21, 2025, Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch met with Mohamed Benali Lo, President of the National Authority for Integrity, Prevention and Fight Against Corruption, to discuss ways to give a new momentum to the anti-corruption initiative and enhance coordination among governance institutions.

The meeting focused on government measures aimed at activating the constitutional role of the authority, strengthening the state’s capabilities in preventing corruption, and enhancing transparency within public institutions.

Akhannouch emphasized the need to hold the National Anti-Corruption Committee as soon as possible to assess the implementation of the national strategy, review the results of the evaluation prepared by the national authority, and determine the directions for the upcoming phase.

Both sides also discussed the structured projects that the authority plans to launch, including the establishment of the Moroccan Academy for Integrity, the National Integrity Laboratory, and groups to develop innovative digital solutions to combat corruption, all aimed at supporting the competencies of the public and private sectors and civil society.

The meeting underscored the importance of involving civil society in anti-corruption efforts by supporting citizen initiatives and strengthening partnerships with associations and organizations to foster a culture of integrity and enhance trust in institutions.
