Moroccan Drug Agency Launches Comprehensive Reform to Enhance Performance and Foster Transparency

In a significant step toward reinforcing pharmaceutical sovereignty and improving governance in the health sector, the Moroccan Agency for Medicines and Health Products has announced the launch of a comprehensive project aimed at modernizing its services and enhancing its regulatory performance. The initiative seeks to make the agency more effective, transparent, and sustainable.

This project is part of the overarching reforms currently taking place within the health system of the Kingdom. The agency aims to restructure its operational mechanisms and update its service offerings to align with the needs of stakeholders in the pharmaceuticals and health products sector while ensuring financial balance and continuity of performance.

The agency confirmed that it has mobilized technical teams and national expertise to support this transformation, which focuses on improving resource management, simplifying administrative procedures, and clarifying the pricing system to build trust among various stakeholders in the field.

This reform is expected to strengthen Morocco’s position as a regional hub in the pharmaceutical industry, capable of securing its national medicine needs and ensuring that citizens have access to safe and high-quality products.
