The Ministry of Interior refers a bribery suspicion in the Safi region to the judiciary following a comprehensive administrative investigation.

The ministry clarified, in a statement issued on October 14, 2025, that the General Inspection of Territorial Administration launched a thorough administrative inquiry after a video circulated on social media containing these serious allegations.

The statement added that the administrative investigation addressed all aspects and circumstances related to the issue, and based on its findings, a request supported by a report from the General Inspection of Territorial Administration was submitted to the Public Prosecutor’s Office to initiate a judicial investigation aimed at determining responsibilities and legislating appropriate legal consequences.

This action is part of the Ministry of Interior’s commitment to promoting public integrity and reinforcing principles of transparency and accountability in local governance, along with a strict approach towards any allegations that undermine the integrity of officials or local institutions.
