The General Directorate of National Security announced on Sunday, October 19, 2025, a new series of appointments to key positions covering several decentralized services in Tetouan, Casablanca, Laayoune, Sidi Ifni, Youssoufia, Fes, Marrakech, Sefrou, Rabat, and Inzikan, in addition to central departments within the Directorate.
These appointments, signed by the Director General of National Security Abdelatif Hammouchi, affected 17 new positions within the police leadership structure. They are part of the Directorate’s strategy to empower young talents in security management positions and to promote the principle of rotation in roles.
The new decisions included the appointment of a head of the Tetouan Security District, a chief for the police station at the Port of Sidi Ifni, and heads of security districts in several cities, including Casablanca, Fes, Tetouan, Youssoufia, and Sidi Ifni.
The appointments also featured a head for the Operations and Coordination Room at the Marrakech Police Headquarters and heads for urban structures in the Ben Soudah area in Fes, Ain Chock in Casablanca, and Sefrou, as well as a head of the Traffic Division in the latter city.
Furthermore, the movement included the appointment of a head for the Tourism Police in Rabat, heads for General Intelligence teams in Inzikan and Fes, and a head for the Anti-Gang Unit at the Laayoune Police Headquarters.
On the central level, a female security officer was appointed at the head of the Information System Management Service for judicial police “Investigations” under the Criminal Police Directorate.
The General Directorate emphasized that these appointments are part of a continuous dynamic to renew the security elite, aimed at enhancing the efficiency of human resources and ensuring effective field performance across various security facilities, thereby serving the safety of citizens and the protection of their property.
