Laayoune Hosts the Regional Exhibition of Local Products in Celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Green March

The Regional Directorate of Agriculture for Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra is organizing the seventh edition of the Regional Exhibition of Local Products from November 3 to 9, 2025, at the Specialized Technical Institute of Agriculture in Laayoune, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the glorious Green March.

This exhibition is part of the efforts by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forests aimed at promoting local products, supporting agricultural cooperatives, and marketing local produce that reflects the rich cultural and heritage legacy of the southern regions of the Kingdom.

The exhibition will feature approximately 50 exhibitors from various regions of the Kingdom, representing cooperatives and economically beneficial groups. They will showcase a diverse range of products including argan oil, honey, olive oil, medicinal and aromatic plants, five-grain couscous, and other distinctive local products that embody the diversity and richness of the national agricultural heritage.

This economic and agricultural event serves as an opportunity to enhance trade exchanges and communication among stakeholders in the local products sector, while also highlighting the region’s potential and its position in the path towards sustainable agricultural development, in line with the objectives of the national strategy “Green Generation 2020-2030,” which aims to:

  • Promote local agricultural products through support for value chains and improvement of quality and marketing
  • Equip cooperatives with modern management tools and sustainable marketing
  • Integrate youth and rural women into the economic dynamics of solidarity agriculture
  • Encourage innovation and local enhancement of natural resources
  • Develop marketing and promotion channels at both national and international levels.

This edition is held under the slogan:

“Local Products: From Our Moroccan Desert, We Shape National Identity”

This reflects the deep connection between agricultural heritage and authentic Moroccan national identity, and it is an open invitation for all visitors to discover the diversity and richness of national local products that express the spirit of authenticity and belonging.
