Confirmation of the match taking place at the “Dounor” stadium came after the decision to keep it open for local matches, contrary to previous plans for its closure due to maintenance and technical improvements in preparation for hosting the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The league confirmed in its statement that scheduling the derby at this time and place indicates that the closure process will be postponed until after the official handover of the facility to the Confederation of African Football (CAF), within the framework of the organizational preparations for the upcoming continental tournament.
