Sofiane Rahimi Returns to the Pitch After Recovering from Injury
The Emirati club Al Ain announced on Monday that its Moroccan star Sofiane Rahimi has fully recovered from the injury that kept him off the field since the beginning of the season.
Rahimi missed competitions, including the ADNOC Pro League, the Abu Dhabi Banking Cup, and the Gulf Champions League, due to a muscle injury.
The club confirmed that the player is ready to return to competition after the international break, and he is expected to make his first appearance against Baniyas on October 18 in the sixth round of the league.
Al Ain shared a video featuring Rahimi sending a message to the fans, saying: “The waiting time is over; Sofiane is back.”
It is worth noting that the Moroccan star had an outstanding season last year, participating in 41 matches across various competitions, scoring 19 goals, and providing 6 assists, solidifying his place as one of the top players of the Purple team.
