Royal Air Maroc Launches Direct Flight Connecting Casablanca and Saint Petersburg
Royal Air Maroc has launched a new direct flight linking Casablanca and Saint Petersburg, starting in January 2026. This initiative aims to enhance economic, cultural, and tourism ties between Morocco and Russia.
The new route will enable travelers to reach the Russian city in less than six hours, responding to the growing demand for travel between the two countries for business, academic, or tourism purposes.
Mr. Hamid Addou, the CEO of Royal Air Maroc, confirmed that “opening this flight to Saint Petersburg marks an important strategic phase for Royal Air Maroc, reinforcing our presence in Russia and demonstrating our commitment to connecting Morocco and Africa with major global economic and cultural hubs.” He added that the new route will provide a higher quality travel experience for passengers, featuring exceptional services throughout the journey.
Royal Air Maroc will operate three weekly flights between Casablanca and Saint Petersburg, with departures from Casablanca on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays at 11:10 PM, arriving in Saint Petersburg the following day at 6:55 AM. Return flights will leave Saint Petersburg on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays at 8:05 AM, landing in Casablanca at 11:45 AM.
This new service complements the existing daily flight from Casablanca to Moscow and reflects the strong economic and cultural ties between Morocco and Russia, which annually attracts a growing number of Russian tourists drawn by its mild climate, rich heritage, and renowned hospitality.
Saint Petersburg, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is one of Russia’s premier tourist destinations, thanks to its world-renowned museums like the Hermitage, its canals, and unique architecture, offering a remarkable travel experience for visitors.
Tickets for the flights will go on sale starting Thursday, October 23, 2025, through the Royal Air Maroc website www.royalairmaroc.ma, call centers, travel agencies, and the company’s commercial network.
