Morocco Strengthens Its Position in Global Aerospace Chains Through Three New Strategic Agreements

The eighth edition of the “Aerospace Casablanca” forum, held yesterday, witnessed the signing of three strategic agreements between the Ministry of Industry and Trade and three leading companies in the aerospace sector. The event was attended by Minister Ryad Mezzour, along with numerous industrial and institutional actors.

These agreements, signed with Ratier-Figeac Maroc, Nicomatic Maroc, and REDSTART Aero, aim to enhance the supply of Collins Aerospace’s supplier network in Morocco, underscoring the Kingdom’s commitment to solidifying its presence in global production chains.

The new agreements are part of the development of Collins Aerospace’s ecosystem in Morocco, allowing for the creation of new specialties and high added-value jobs, in line with the national strategy to increase local integration rates and enhance the competitiveness of Moroccan companies internationally.

In this context, Minister Ryad Mezzour emphasized that these protocols represent a “critical step” in the strategic partnership between Morocco and Collins Aerospace, highlighting the Kingdom’s ambition to build an integrated supply chain that meets the highest international standards, focusing on diversifying industrial specialties, particularly in advanced fields such as electronic design and precision mechanical manufacturing.

Details of the Three Projects

  • Ratier-Figeac Maroc will establish a new assembly line for cockpit and passenger cabin equipment at its facility in Nouaceur, enhancing Morocco’s role in producing critical systems and providing new training opportunities for engineers and technicians.

  • Nicomatic Maroc will launch a new industrial unit in Casablanca dedicated to the production of illuminated panels for cockpits, reflecting the Kingdom’s transition towards more advanced technological industries.

  • REDSTART Aero will expand its facility by adding a specialized unit for manufacturing high-precision mechanical parts, allowing it to integrate more fully into global supply chains and create qualified job opportunities.

Towards a Regional Aviation Manufacturing Hub

Through these agreements, Morocco fortifies its position as a competitive and reliable destination for global aerospace manufacturing, encouraging structured investments and the transfer of expertise, continuing its journey to become an industrial hub in Africa and a global platform serving major players in the aviation and defense sectors.
