Merchants in Kenitra Announce Total Boycott of “Best Milk” Products Due to Quality and Treatment Issues
The regional office of the National Union of Traders and Professionals in Kenitra has announced a comprehensive boycott of products from the “Best Milk – Kenitra Cooperative,” in protest against what they describe as “unfair policies” towards local merchants and “deteriorating product quality.”
In a statement received by the Express TV newspaper, the office confirmed that the boycott will take place on October 27, 28, and 29, 2025, emphasizing that the decision followed the cooperative’s disregard for multiple complaints from professionals who have played a pivotal role in marketing its products for years.
The statement noted a recurrence of spoiled milk despite its short shelf life and proper refrigeration, along with abnormal swelling of dairy products and taste alterations, raising concerns about production quality and internal monitoring mechanisms within the cooperative, according to the union.
The regional office stressed that this action defends the consumer’s right to safe and sound products and the dignity of local traders, calling on all merchants and consumers to participate in the boycott responsibly and in an organized manner until the cooperative addresses their demands.
The statement concluded by reiterating that the unity of traders sends a clear message that “mutual respect is the foundation for continuity, and dignity comes before trade.”
