King Mohammed VI to Chair Ministerial Council Discussing 2026 Finance Law
In the coming days, His Majesty King Mohammed VI is expected to chair a ministerial council to discuss several strategic issues, primarily the general guidelines for the draft finance law for 2026, as well as approving military-related draft decrees, international agreements, and high-level appointments.
The new finance law is anticipated to reflect the directives from the King’s recent address before Parliament at the opening of the legislative session, where he called for a transformative shift in the education and health sectors as essential pillars of the social state. This aligns with efforts to enhance the economic integration of youth, create job opportunities, and reduce social and regional inequalities, which remain major developmental challenges in Morocco.
Priority funding and practical measures are expected to be allocated to the education and health sectors, in line with the expansion of social protection and the activation of commitments under the new development model, which positions social and regional justice as a fundamental lever for achieving comprehensive development.
