FNACAM 2025: Insurance in Morocco Between Innovation and Digital Transformation
The ninth annual meeting of the National Federation of Insurance Agents and Brokers in Morocco (FNACAM) highlighted the major changes and innovations that the insurance sector is undergoing. The event brought together organizers, federations, agents, and brokers to discuss mandatory insurance and the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the profession.
According to the FNACAM president, the insurance sector is experiencing a profound transformation driven by legislative, societal, and technological developments. The implementation of new mandatory insurances, such as mandatory health insurance (AMO), along with the anticipated issuance of the fourth book, are crucial structural projects for professionals in the field.
AI, which has become an indispensable necessity, is viewed as a lever for modernization and development. The president emphasized that “we must not succumb to it but rather learn how to use it wisely,” urging brokers to leverage these tools to enhance their efficiency and improve the quality of services provided to clients.
Bachir Baddou, the appointed vice president of the Moroccan Insurance Federation (FMA), affirmed the importance of the sector’s rapid digitization. He cited the example of car insurance, which is now largely managed digitally—from accident reports to electronic subscriptions—showcasing the ongoing digital transformation in the Moroccan insurance sector.
