On Wednesday, October 8, 2025, the International Football Federation (FIFA) unveiled its executive council and permanent, independent committees for the upcoming year, highlighting Morocco’s success in appointing four of its officials to strategic positions.

Fouzi Lekjaa: The President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) retains his seat on the FIFA Council and has been tasked with overseeing the Men’s Club Competitions and the FIFA Club World Cup, in addition to his role in coordinating continental tournaments.

Nawal El-Aidawi: The former marketing director of Raja Casablanca has joined the Women’s Club Competitions Committee.

Abdel Salam Belkashour: The President of the National Professional Football League (LNFP) has secured a position on the Men’s Football Stakeholders Committee, which oversees club affairs, leagues, players, schedules, transfers, and the economic aspects of the sport.

Dr. Younes Shaker: A physician, he has been appointed to FIFA’s Medical Committee, responsible for health protocols, injury prevention, and physical recovery strategies for players.

This development reflects Morocco’s strengthened status in the international football arena, not only on the sporting level but also in decision-making.
