Morocco has received a new international recognition in the field of development cooperation, following the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation being awarded the Technical Excellence Award by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) during a ceremony held in Rome on Wednesday to commemorate the organization’s 80th anniversary.

This accolade honors the Kingdom under the leadership of King Mohammed VI, acknowledging its role as a key player in promoting South-South cooperation and supporting sustainable development and food security initiatives both on the African continent and beyond.

The award was granted to the Moroccan Agency in the category of “South-South and Triangular Cooperation,” in recognition of its efforts in exchanging expertise and innovative solutions among Southern countries, as well as its work in implementing development projects in partnership with national and international institutions.
