Detention of a Young Man in El Jadida for Threatening Violent Actions in Security Coordination Between Police and DGST
The judicial police forces managed to arrest a young man in the early hours of Friday, October 3, who caused significant alarm by posting a video in which he threatened to commit violent acts that endanger public security.
The suspect was apprehended in the commune of Sidi Ismail, his birthplace, during an operation carried out by the judicial police in coordination with the anti-gang unit, based on precise information received from the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance.
The video posted by the young man contained direct death threats and explicit incitement to commit crimes, along with a suggestion to use violence if his so-called “demands of the youth” were not met within a month. This led to widespread condemnation and was considered a serious violation of the law and public peace.
By order of the public prosecutor, the detained individual has been placed under police custody pending further investigation to clarify the circumstances surrounding this case and to uncover its underlying motives.
