A suspect was arrested in Salé after assaulting and dragging a police officer, attempting to flee, and secretly transporting passengers.
On the morning of Saturday, October 25, police in the Salé New area managed to apprehend a 38-year-old man suspected of resisting arrest, insulting a public official in the line of duty, intentionally causing injury, and transporting passengers without a license.
Initial information indicates that the suspect engaged in a dispute with a foreign national who was driving him in an unlicensed vehicle. When a police officer intervened to resolve the conflict, the suspect refused to comply and continued to drive, resulting in injuries to the officer. The incident was captured in a video that circulated on social media.
Investigations led to the identification and arrest of the suspect during a security operation in Salé New, along with the seizure of the vehicle used.
The individual has been placed at the disposal of the judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor, to uncover all the circumstances of the case and determine the criminal actions attributed to him.
