An American analyst: King Mohammed VI’s vision places Morocco at the forefront of countries striving for equitable and inclusive development.

William Lawrence, the American political analyst and Director of the North Africa branch of the National Council on U.S.-Arab Relations, stated that the speech delivered by King Mohammed VI before Parliament serves as a renewed affirmation of Morocco’s commitment to achieving social and spatial justice, establishing a balanced developmental model that places the citizen at its core.

Lawrence explained, in a statement to the Maghreb Arab News Agency, that the royal speech clearly highlighted the Kingdom’s determination to realize comprehensive development that leaves no one behind, through equitable distribution of growth benefits among various regions, which enhances social cohesion and reinforces spatial justice as a strategic choice for the state.

The American analyst added that the King’s focus on this dimension reflects the maturity of the Moroccan experience in shaping developmental policies that respond to the real needs of citizens, while maintaining the pace of reform and modernization that distinguishes Morocco within its regional context.

Lawrence pointed out that the King’s call for harmony between major national projects and social programs underscores the depth of the royal vision, which considers development a collective endeavor that involves everyone, without competition or conflict among initiatives.

The American expert affirmed in his statement that this balanced approach grants Morocco a unique distinctiveness in the region, rendering the Moroccan experience a model to be emulated in building a state that seeks to achieve development with justice and sustainability.
