Ali Al-Amraoui: The Royal Directives Define the Path for Development and Social Justice in Morocco

In the context of the new parliamentary session and amidst the economic and social challenges facing the Kingdom, Ali Al-Amraoui, head of the Istiqlal Party’s group in the House of Representatives, affirmed that the government continues to operate under the guidance of the royal directives issued in the recent Throne Speech. These directives form a roadmap for the upcoming phase, focusing on strengthening spatial and social justice and solidifying sustainable development across the various regions of the Kingdom.

Al-Amraoui explained that the government majority is committed to implementing major programs aimed at enhancing advanced regionalization and launching a new generation of development projects that consider the local specifics of each area. In this context, the government aims to create job opportunities, enhance essential services, and achieve balance among different regions through structured projects that manage natural resources sustainably.

He also spoke about the profound transformation Morocco is undergoing in building a social state under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, with efforts underway to expand healthcare coverage, bolster social protection, and direct direct support to families in need. He added that improving health and educational infrastructure is a primary focus, along with valuing human capital as a cornerstone for economic and social development.

Regarding job creation, the head of the Istiqlal group highlighted that the government is working to support investment initiatives at the regional level, which contribute to creating job opportunities for the youth, especially in light of the repercussions of successive crises and the drought that Morocco is experiencing. He also stressed the need to improve employment-related legislation and stimulate entrepreneurial spirit among citizens to face future challenges.

As for legislative reforms, Al-Amraoui confirmed that the government majority is keen on revising electoral laws and strengthening local governance mechanisms in preparation for the upcoming electoral events. He clarified that the ongoing dialogue between the majority and the opposition reflects the vitality of the democratic system in Morocco and represents an opportunity to enhance political participation, particularly among youth, women, and Moroccans abroad.

Morocco is advancing in implementing an ambitious development agenda aimed at achieving social justice and sustainable development across all regions of the Kingdom. Under royal directives, the government seeks to improve the economic and social status of citizens by enhancing social programs and achieving comprehensive development that addresses citizens’ needs across various sectors.
