In a significant step to support the integration of visually impaired individuals into the job market, the Office of Vocational Training and Employment Promotion has signed a partnership agreement with the High Organization for the Protection of the Blind in Morocco. This initiative aims to create a new generation of training and rehabilitation programs that meet the needs of this group and provide them with sustainable professional pathways.

The agreement, signed within the framework of the national vision to promote the rights of individuals with disabilities, establishes the foundations for institutional cooperation between the two parties. It involves developing suitable training curricula and mobilizing the logistical and human resources necessary to enable beneficiaries to acquire skills that will facilitate their social and economic integration on an equal footing.

The partnership also stipulates the formation of a joint coordination committee responsible for preparing annual work plans that include training, mentoring, and technical support, in addition to enhancing employment opportunities in both the public and private sectors for the visually impaired and those with low vision.

The Office of Vocational Training emphasizes that this initiative is part of the implementation of the roadmap presented to King Mohammed VI in 2019, which established the principle of equal opportunities as one of the pillars of the vocational training system reform.

For its part, the High Organization for the Protection of the Blind highlighted that the agreement represents an extension of its historical commitment, since its establishment in 1967, to provide education and rehabilitation for individuals with visual impairments, noting that the new partnership will result in a generation of more inclusive and sustainable programs.

This initiative is expected to contribute to establishing values of social justice and equality in access to training and employment, in line with royal directives and the Moroccan constitution, which affirms the rights of persons with disabilities and ensures their effective participation in development.
