On Friday night, the Hay Mohammadi area in Casablanca experienced unprecedented riots that mobilized various security forces after a group of masked individuals vandalized dozens of cars, causing panic among residents.
According to local sources, the regional security services of Ain Sebaâ Hay Mohammadi initiated intensive operations following reports of a large group of approximately 60 individuals, including minors, attacking over 40 cars with large knives, creating a scene of chaos and immense fear within the Khalil neighborhood.
The authorities have opened a thorough investigation to identify the perpetrators, utilizing surveillance cameras scattered throughout the area. Most of the suspects were masked, complicating the identification process.
Current information indicates that security forces have arrested two individuals, while search operations continue for the remaining suspects. The possibility of a connection between these events and conflicts among supporters of local football clubs has not been ruled out.
