The Secretary-General of the Party of Progress and Socialism, Mohamed Nabil Benabdallah, accompanied by a member of the political bureau in charge of foreign relations, Said Boukali, embarked on a Maghreb tour that included Libya and Tunisia. The trip aimed to enhance political cooperation and strengthen joint Maghreb work.

In Benghazi, Benabdallah held meetings with the Libyan Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdelhadi al-Hweij, and other political officials. He also delivered a lecture at the Arab University of Science and Technology on the initiative for autonomy as a proposal to resolve the regional conflict over the Sahara. Benabdallah participated in a political salon organized by the Libyan Foreign Ministry under the theme “The Maghreb Space: A Shared Destiny.”

The tour concluded in Tunisia with an official meeting with the leadership of the Tunisian People’s Movement, headed by its Secretary-General, Zohair Al-Maghzoui. The parties agreed to expand areas of cooperation between their parties and invited the Moroccan party to participate in an upcoming Maghreb meeting on migration issues, while continuing discussions on forms of joint political work at the regional level.
