Health Minister Visits Fez-Meknes Region to Inspect Health Projects and Emphasizes Service Quality
On Tuesday, September 9, 2025, Khaled Tahraoui, Minister of Health and Social Protection, conducted a field visit to various medical sites in the Fez-Meknes region to monitor the progress of health projects and assess the quality of services provided to citizens.
The tour included the “August 20” Regional Hospital in Azrou, which has 150 beds and serves over 16,000 residents. The minister observed the workflow and the stages of medical service delivery. He also visited the Day Hospital in Ifrane, which is nearing the completion of construction. This project spans over two hectares with a budget of 88 million dirhams and includes 70 beds, aimed at enhancing local health services and expediting patient care.
In addition, Tahraoui visited the “Sidi Aasou” health center in Azrou and the regional hospital in Bensouda, Fez, as part of the national program to modernize and generalize health infrastructure.
During these visits, the minister met with medical, administrative, and technical teams, discussing the difficulties and challenges they face. He assessed the quality of the services provided and reaffirmed the commitment to construction standards and timelines. These initiatives aim to ensure sustainable, accessible, and high-quality health services for all citizens.
This tour is part of a comprehensive follow-up program for health projects in the region, in line with the high royal directives, to enhance a modern and effective health system that meets the aspirations of the citizens.
