The majority of the government coalition, led by Aziz Akhannouch, confirmed its attentiveness and understanding of the youth’s demands and expressed its readiness for positive dialogue with them.

On Tuesday, September 30, 2025, in Rabat, the presidency of the government coalition held a meeting chaired by Aziz Akhannouch, leader of the National Rally of Independents, with participation from leaders of the Authenticity and Modernity Party and the Istiqlal Party.

The meeting focused on discussing the latest developments in the political landscape and the national context. The coalition reaffirmed its full commitment to implementing the royal directives mentioned in the Throne Speech, particularly regarding the 2026 finance law, comprehensive regional development, and reducing social and spatial disparities.

It also expressed its understanding of the social demands raised by large segments of youth in public and online spaces, highlighting its willingness to open responsible dialogue to find practical, implementable solutions, while commending the interaction of security authorities in accordance with legal procedures.

The coalition reiterated its commitment to continue reforming the health system by establishing territorial health groups, rehabilitating hospitals, and increasing the number of medical staff, welcoming parliamentary initiatives aimed at initiating a broader discussion on this reform.

The presidency of the coalition emphasized its dedication to advancing the government program focused on strengthening the social state through the implementation of social protection initiatives, reforming the health and education sectors, supporting investment, creating job opportunities, addressing housing issues, empowering youth, tackling water challenges, and enhancing the justice system, reinforcing the rule of law, as these reforms form the foundation for a new social contract between citizens and the state.
