Horse Exhibition in El Jadida: Celebrating the Beauty of the Horse and Moroccan Equestrian Traditions
The sixteenth edition of the Horse Exhibition kicks off in El Jadida from September 30 to October 5, 2025, under the theme “Caring for Horses, a Connection to Equestrian Practices.” This annual event reinforces Morocco’s position as a reference point for equestrianism both regionally and internationally.
Organized by the Horse Exhibition Association under the patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the exhibition serves as a significant occasion to celebrate the horse as a symbol of Moroccan authenticity, providing a space for enthusiasts of equestrianism, professionals, and cultural and economic actors to meet.
This edition highlights the importance of placing the horse at the center of contemporary equestrian practices, advocating for a responsible and sustainable approach to its breeding, care, and use. It also aims to enhance awareness, nationally and internationally, of the essential role of equestrian care in competitions, exhibitions, education, and recreation.
As usual, the exhibition offers a rich and diverse program, including global competitions such as the Grand Prix of His Majesty King Mohammed VI for show jumping (CSI 4*W /1 CSI) and the Grand Prix of Tbourida, featuring elite teams from various regions of the kingdom. There will also be showcases dedicated to Barb and Arab-Barb horses, as well as purebred Arabians. For the first time in the exhibition’s history, an international contest for Arabian horse beauty, Category A, will be organized as part of the title showcase.
The program also includes scientific lectures led by Moroccan and foreign experts, along with an economic day in partnership with the General Confederation of Enterprises of Morocco, aimed at exploring new horizons in equestrianism through knowledge exchange and experiences regarding the latest techniques, sustainable management, and international partnerships.
The exhibition places a significant emphasis on entertainment, with the exhibition arena showcasing stunning performances by Moroccan and international troupes, including acts by the famous Hungarian trainer Szilvásvárad, Italian rider Bartolo Messina, and the duo Kevin Ferreira and Jerome Sevrin, along with the legendary show by Christophe and his son Max Hasta Luigo. National institutions like the Royal Gendarmerie Cavalry, the National Police Cavalry, and the Marrakech Academy of Equestrian Arts will also participate in performances blending military discipline and artistic skill.
In a bid that combines entertainment and education, the Children’s Village will feature an interactive space for kids, including workshops and activities related to the world of horses, aiming to bring them closer to this cultural heritage in an enjoyable educational atmosphere.
The exhibition will also host a regional pavilion reflecting the richness and diversity of equestrian heritage across various Moroccan regions, through showcases of traditional products associated with horses, such as saddles, bridles, and attire, highlighting local craftsmanship and the spirit of creativity rooted in national culture.
In the context of enhancing the economic dimension, a comprehensive professional space will be established, encompassing all components of the equestrian chain, from equipment manufacturers and breeders to startups, providing opportunities for knowledge exchange, business meetings, and exploring innovative technical solutions.
Since its inception in 2008 under the presidency of Sharif Moulay Abdellah Alaoui, the Horse Exhibition continues to solidify its position as a strategic lever for the development of the equestrian sector in Morocco and the preservation of its associated traditions. It remains an annual occasion to discover the cultural, economic, and sports diversity that connects generations, knowledge, and commitments.
The meeting will once again take place in El Jadida, which will transform for six days into an international capital of equestrianism, celebrating the horse as a bridge linking the past with the present, alongside traditions and aspirations.
