The government approves a tax agreement and announces high-level appointments in various ministries.

During its meeting on Thursday, September 18, 2025, the Council of Government reviewed an agreement between Morocco and Burundi aimed at avoiding double taxation and preventing tax evasion and fraud. This agreement was signed in Rabat on May 12, 2025, and the council approved the accompanying draft law.

The council also approved a series of high-level appointments in accordance with Article 92 of the Constitution, which included:

Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates: Khalid Ben Cheikh as Director of Maghreb, Arab, and Islamic Affairs, and Abdullah Boutedghart as Director of African Affairs.

Ministry of National Education, Preschool, and Sports: Nadia Boudaoud as Director of the Training Center for Education Inspectors.

Ministry of National Land Planning, Urban Development, Housing, and City Policy: Omar Bourass as Director of the National School of Architecture in Marrakech.

These appointments confirm the government’s commitment to organizing senior administrations and enhancing competencies across various vital sectors.
