The selection and integration process for the 40th military service recruits in Moulay Yacoub commenced in El Hajeb.
In compliance with the High Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, the process began on Monday at the primary training center in El Hajeb and will continue until the end of September.
The operation is overseen by a specialized committee composed of members from various offices and departments under the General Command of the Royal Armed Forces. The center welcomed candidates from El Hajeb, Boulemane, Moulay Yacoub, Sefrou, and Ifrane early in the morning, some arriving on military transportation buses provided by the Armed Forces, while others were accompanied by family members.
In a statement to the Moroccan News Agency, Lieutenant Salwa Al-Asim confirmed that the selection process is proceeding smoothly. She noted that the center has mobilized significant logistical resources and outstanding training support to assist the candidates throughout the operation. This year, approximately 2,519 recruits are expected, including 235 female candidates from neighboring provinces. At the end of the process, around 900 recruits will be selected to continue their military training.
Recruit Kanza Tamri, who came from Moulay Yacoub, expressed her happiness at joining the Royal Armed Forces, highlighting that it was a dream she shared with her father. She mentioned a warm and respectful reception, with instructors providing step-by-step support and guidance to ease their integration and build their confidence. She emphasized that military service is a true school of life that enhances personality, physical and mental capabilities, instills discipline, and offers an opportunity to acquire new skills, develop teamwork, and instill citizenship values. Her future dream is to serve in the Armed Forces and contribute to her country.
Recruit Abdul Basit Qabbu asserted that military service is a valuable opportunity to gain discipline, patience, and an appreciation for time. He pointed out that the reception and training were excellent, with meticulous organization and the commitment of the officials and trainers to provide the best conditions for a successful integration phase.
The selection and integration process is divided into three main stages, starting with welcoming the candidates and verifying the identity of those called up, followed by a comprehensive medical examination overseen by a team of civilian and military doctors to assess physical and mental fitness. Finally, candidates are presented to a selection committee that determines their eligibility for military service.
In this context, First Lieutenant Basma Al-Shibli, a member of the medical committee at the center, confirmed that the medical team measures health indicators such as weight, vision, and blood pressure, as well as reviewing their medical, surgical, and toxic history to ensure they meet the requirements for continued training.
It is worth noting that the General Command of the Royal Armed Forces, in coordination with the Ministry of the Interior and relevant parties, has taken all necessary measures to ensure the success of this operation and to conduct it under optimal conditions.
