The Richest 10 Billionaires in the World
In a month where U.S. stock indices continued to reach historic peaks, the gains did not translate evenly to the fortunes of the world’s wealthiest individuals. Forbes reported that the net worth of the top ten rose modestly by just 1%, approximately $21 billion, bringing the total to $2.13 trillion.
According to the report, six of the top ten billionaires gained wealth in August, while four saw a decline in their fortunes due to fluctuations in technology stocks. Despite these ups and downs, Elon Musk remained firmly in the lead, far ahead of his nearest competitor.
