Spain welcomed 55.5 million international tourists between January and July 2025, marking an increase of 4.1% compared to the same period last year, according to data from the National Institute of Statistics.

The sector generated revenues of €76.07 billion, a rise of 7.2%, fueled by a daily spending increase per tourist to €210 (+6.9%).

In July alone, the country attracted 11.02 million foreign tourists (+1.6%), yielding record revenues of €16.45 billion (+6.1%).

British visitors topped the list with nearly 11 million tourists (+4.3%), followed by the French with 7.1 million (+1.7%), and the Germans with 6.9 million (+1.6%), while the number of tourists from Belgium dropped by 4.2%.

The preferred destinations included Catalonia, which received 11.6 million visitors, the Canary Islands with 9.1 million, and the Balearic Islands with 9 million, with the latter accounting for 23.3% of total arrivals in July, ahead of Catalonia (21.3%) and Andalusia (14%).
