Walid Rekraki Announces Player List Ahead of Crucial Matches
The head coach of the national team, Walid Rekraki, will hold a press conference next Thursday in Sale to announce the Atlas Lions’ squad in preparation for two important matches.
The Royal Moroccan Football Federation stated in an official announcement that the press conference will take place in the conference hall of the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Maamoura, starting at 11 AM.
The Moroccan national team will face their Bahraini counterpart in a friendly match on Thursday, October 9, at Prince Moulay Abdallah Stadium in Rabat at 8 PM. Five days later, on October 14, the Atlas Lions will host the Congo team in the African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, which is set to take place in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
This announcement comes after the Moroccan team recently secured a place in the 2026 World Cup, marking the seventh time in its history and the third consecutive time, following previous participations in 1970, 1986, 1994, 1998, 2018, and 2022.
