OLAH Palace Trading announces promising gold exploration results in southern Morocco

Mining experts in Morocco have discovered one of the most significant mineral finds in the region following OLAH Palace Trading’s announcement of encouraging exploration results in the southern part of the country, specifically in the vicinity of the historic Draa Valley, known for its past wealth in gold.

According to a report by African Mining Market, field survey work overseen by geologist Bakr Khdeira identified 34 quartz veins rich in gold, with depths exceeding 100 meters and widths ranging from 40 centimeters to 1.5 meters. Laboratory analysis of samples extracted from trenches and wells showed notable concentration levels ranging from 6 grams per ton to 300 grams per ton, reflecting the area’s considerable potential as one of Morocco’s key gold sites.

These discoveries carry added significance due to their location on a geological base historically linked to the Draa River, indicating that the area could be part of a widespread mineral system.

Morocco’s mineral resources are not limited to gold; the country also boasts deposits of copper, lithium, titanium, and rare earth elements (REEs), which are vital to modern industries in renewable energy, aviation, and advanced technology. As international competition intensifies for alternative mineral sources beyond Asia, Morocco’s strategic geographical position between Africa and Europe becomes increasingly valuable.

The company aims to develop its concessions within a multi-metal strategy that seeks to align Morocco’s geological potential with the growing global demand.

Adi Naboot, Head of Business Development at the company, stated: “These discoveries confirm what we have long believed regarding the untapped potential in Morocco. As the global race for mineral rights accelerates, our focus is on building long-term value through responsible development and a clear strategy.”
