Naif Akhard expresses his joy over joining Marseille and starting a new adventure at the Velodrome.
Moroccan international Naif Akhard has officially announced his transfer to Olympique de Marseille from West Ham United during the summer transfer window, expressing his excitement to embark on this new experience.
Akhard wrote on Instagram: “I’m happy to join Marseille, and I look forward to discovering the legendary Velodrome and enjoying the fantastic football atmosphere in France and Europe. Let’s go Marseille!”
This transfer follows a successful stint in the Premier League, where he won the UEFA Europa Conference League title in 2023. Akhard is also a key player for the Moroccan national team and participated in the historic run of the “Atlas Lions” to the semifinals at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
