Andrew Morrison Praises Morocco’s Restraint and Security Tolerance During Recent Gatherings Ban

London – British MP and former Foreign Minister Andrew Morrison praised the Moroccan law enforcement’s intervention over the past weekend to prevent unauthorized gatherings, affirming that it demonstrated “tolerance and restraint in maintaining public order.”

In a statement to the Moroccan News Agency, Morrison noted that citizens, as in other countries, seek to improve their standard of living, highlighting that this sometimes manifests in the streets.

He emphasized that Morocco allows legitimate demonstrations, and that the security authorities handle these events with control and wisdom, reflecting the kingdom’s ability to establish itself as a model of peace, security, stability, and the rule of law in the region.

Morrison pointed to the significant progress the kingdom has made in economic, political, democratic, and social fields, affirming that these achievements contribute to enhancing Morocco’s position on the regional and international stage.

In closing his statement, he remarked that the kingdom combines stability with respect for citizens’ rights, making it a model to emulate in the region.
