Morocco Receives 723 Yutong Buses in Preparation for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations
Morocco has welcomed the first batch of 723 luxury buses manufactured by Yutong, as part of its preparations to host the Africa Cup of Nations 2025, scheduled to kick off on December 21.
These deliveries, officially received since September 12, are from the Yutong factory in Henan province, China. The buses have been designed to meet the demands of Moroccan roads, including high heat, humidity, and dust resistance, along with suitability for varied terrain. They also feature an independent front suspension system to facilitate navigation through narrow streets.
The expected lifespan of these buses is around 20 years or a service distance of up to two million kilometers. Additionally, Yutong commits to providing comprehensive support, including training, maintenance, spare parts, and technical assistance to ensure optimal operation during the tournament and beyond.
This deal aligns with a broader vision to modernize public transport in Morocco, supported by the organization of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, enhancing logistical capabilities to accommodate delegations and fans, and paving the way for a modern fleet of public buses in the coming years.
