The General Delegate for Prison Administration and Reintegration, in collaboration with the Reconciliation Center at the National Institute for Prison Management and Tiflet, launched a training program on Monday, September 15, 2025, dedicated to its employees. The program is titled “Combating Violent Extremism: Strategies for Prevention, Community Fortification, and Ensuring Security in the Prison Environment.”
This initiative aims to enhance the capabilities of employees in detecting and identifying signs of violent extremism within prison institutions by adopting best practices in the field. It equips them with the essential tools and techniques to prevent extremist ideologies while emphasizing the importance of respecting human rights during their duties.
A total of 180 employees will benefit from this program through six training cycles, with 30 employees participating in each cycle, lasting three days. The program also includes the selection of a group of employees for specialized training in “Train-the-Trainer” courses, enabling them to subsequently train their colleagues within various prison institutions, under the supervision of the Center’s staff who will guide them and update their tools to ensure optimal performance.
This program aligns with the strategic axes of the Reconciliation Center, particularly those concerning the fight against violent extremism within prisons, and has been officially approved by the Center’s Steering Council.
