In a compelling statement during the program “The Truth in 90 Minutes,” Tunisian coach Lasaad Chabi returned to discuss his experience with Raja Casablanca, this time focusing on his relationship with the French sporting director, Sebastien.
Chabi did not hide his surprise at the way he was evaluated by Sebastien, stating, “On what basis did he submit his report about me? I won against Al-Fath and drew with the Army, yet my work is assessed as if the results don’t matter.”
The Tunisian coach added critically, “With all due respect to the institution of Raja, the club needs a sporting director worthy of its great name, someone with qualifications and experience, just as is required of any coach. However, Sebastien does not even possess a license to coach the first team.”
Chabi did not stop there; he likened the situation to absurdity, saying, “It’s as if you’re asking a nurse how the operation performed by the doctor went.”
With this statement, Chabi has reopened the debate regarding the roles of the sporting director within Raja, especially amid fan demands to reconsider some technical positions that directly impact the team’s trajectory.
