France has issued orange alerts for thunderstorms and floods in several southern regions, prompting the Bouches-du-Rhône department, which overlooks the Mediterranean, to postpone the start of the school year by one day.
Several regions in central and southern France have been put on alert for stormy weather on Sunday and Monday, according to the meteorological agency “Meteo France.” Intense thunderstorms accompanied by heavy rain are expected to continue until Monday, with rainfall amounts potentially reaching 150 mm per hour, as reported by Bloomberg News.
